What's changed?
We want to give you as many options as possible to sign in and authenticate. Previously, an SMS code to your phone was the only way to authenticate yourself.
The update gives you more ways to complete a security verification. This means better security for your account, as well as more options to verify yourself. You can now use Passkeys and Security keys, these options allow us to link your device to your account to allow you to sign in more securely.
When you sign in you will see this screen:
Over time, two new authentication options will be introduced:
- Biometrics: For example, your fingerprint or Face ID
- Push notification: Receive a notification to your device from an app.
We ask you to authenticate to confirm some important actions. The additional authentication options will initially only apply to signing in and then over time we will introduce it when you add new payees and view card details.
These changes will roll out over the next couple of months, so keep an eye out for more updates from us.
What do I need to do?
You don't need to change anything. Please continue to go to https://dashboard.fairfx.com as usual to sign in or use existing bookmarks. You will see that the page will automatically redirect to a new URL, auth.equalsmoney.com (please do not go to this URL directly). Your sign-in details will remain the same.
What is Equals Money?
FairFX is part of the Equals Group. The FairFX platform is powered by Equals Money, another brand under the Equals Group. This is why when you sign in you will see the Equals Money name in the URL. Please always ensure you are signing on the correct page.
